AUSTIN D-WEEK IS COMING! REGISTER NOW

Dear Austin Lacrosse Community. We're excited to bring down Team USA Kyle Hartzell and the Defense Academy! This exclusive and focused camp with sessions for HIGH SCHOOL and Youth Grades 5-8th. The camp is focused on Lacrosse Defenders, LSMs and Middies wanting to hone in Defense Skills with one of the best defenders in the MLL and team USA Lacrosse.

D-Week Summary: A four-day defensive training camp developed by world-class defenders Kyle Hartzell and Tucker Durkin. The camp features daily 1.5 hour sessions of group instructional work. Our philosophy is simple: world-class instruction from the best defenders in the world. Each session will be unique, with drills focusing on:

  • On Ball Defense
  • Off-Ball Positioning/Sliding Technique
  • Skill-work with Ball & Off Ground
  • Defensive IQ
  • Stick Work
  • Shooting
Whether the goal is Division I lacrosse - or just personal improvement - D-Week will accelerate learning and provide players with the tools to continue growing beyond camp. Note - this event will be hosted by Kyle Hartzell

Groups: D-Week will feature two groups: Youth (5th-8th) and High-School (9th-12th). Each group will be capped at 20 players, allowing Kyle and our staff to evaluate each player at an individual level. Camp sessions will skew to relatively more advanced techniques for the high-school group; players with at least one season of experience will be welcome in both age groups, regardless of skill.

Evaluations: Each player will receive written scorecards and notes for improvement at the end of the camp - providing tangible feedback on areas that need work - and detailed instruction on how to improve in those areas.

Where: Hudson Bend Middle School - Grass practice field - 15600 Lariat Trail, Austin, Texas 78734

When: Monday, July 30th through Thursday, August 2nd - Youth 9:00AM - 10:30AM | High School 10:30AM - 12:00PM

Who: Boys with at least one year of playing experience. D-Week training sessions are designed to help players of all skill levels improve, so don't worry about skill gaps or potential inexperience. We all share the common goal of improvement - regardless of our skill level today.

Questions: Email   with any questions. We understand you have options with lacrosse training, and we want you to be comfortable with whichever route you choose - especially ours.
Check out the fly hereto.

Indoor box lacrosse league for  8-10 year old boys

Registration for 7 vs 7 indoor box lacrosse league for  8-10 year olds at Hill Country Indoor is only 5 more days.  This will be the leagues 2nd season.  It would be ideal to have at least 10-14 players.
Our goal is to field an all Trojan box team to compete against the other clubs in town.

Who:   Trojans 8-10 year of age as of 8/3/2018
When:   August 17-October 7
8 Games likely all on Sundays (might also be on Friday).  Schedule not yet finalized. I have attached last years schedule as an example of what the game schedule may look like.  Last year there was also a playoff and all-star game.
Practice is anticipated to be 30 minutes before each game.  Last year there was one 2 hour preseason clinic.  We are still working out details.

Registration Fee:              $2750 per team.  So Anticipating about $275/per player. And possibly adding approximately $40 for coach fee.  Trojan helmet decals are included.
Registration Deadline:   7/30/18
Misc:                              All players must be actively registered with US Lacrosse ($30 annual)

We would like to play as Trojans.  If enough boys do not register the boys will still play together as a Hill Country Indoor team along with other individual players.
Please let me know if you are interested in playing or have any questions.
Please also forward to anyone who may be interested.
Thank You,
Lelo Diaz
